Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or those in need of hospice care. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, administering medication, and ensuring the well-being and comfort of the individuals under your care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Help individuals with mobility and transfers
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Respect and uphold resident rights and dignity
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Knowledge of nursing home or hospice care practices is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Compassion and empathy towards others
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
