Advanced Vision Care Optometry is located in Valencia, CA.

We Need 3 Shifts to fill, Mondays Tuesday and Friday 9:30AM to 6PM Mo Tu and 5:30PM Fr

Are you a detailed oriented person and enjoy helping people who would like to work in friendly and fast pasted environment?

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Assist with patient intake, including gathering medical history and verifying insurance information
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as visual acuity and intraocular pressure
- Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions for proper use and care
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records, including updating patient information and documenting test results
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide support to the optometrist during examinations and procedures
- Educate patients on eyewear options, including frames and lenses, and assist with sales
- Utilize retail math skills to calculate pricing, discounts, and insurance coverage for eyewear purchases

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of optometric systems (e.g., Epic) is a plus
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical coding practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of pediatric optometry is a plus
- Retail sales experience is beneficial

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per year
