Responsibilities:

● Receive incoming materials / Prepare materials for shipment

● Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other shipping related equipment

● Assist with Inventory management

● Operate an overhead, electric crane

● Facilitate Carrier pick-ups

● Build custom crates or skids if product shipment requires

● Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials

● Prepares records and shipping documents of materials shipped and bills of lading

● Operate shipping computer for creation of shipping related records & documents

● Requires delivery & pick-up of material via company truck

● Coordinates with Purchasing & Scheduling Department regarding product shortages and outages

● Maintain shipping & receiving area in a neat & organized manner

● Perform miscellaneous shop duties

● Handle building and grounds maintenance as needed

Required Skills:

● Valid Driver’s License

● Computer literate in basic operations, ability to facilitate basic data entry (Word, Excel, Gmail, Etc.)

● Good communication skills and demeanor while working with customers, other delivery personnel and fellow team members

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

● Basic understanding of manufacturing drawings (can train)

● Basic Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

● Ability to understand and convert decimals and fractions

● Must be able to reach, bend, lift, push, pull up to 60 lbs. Work involves use of forklift, pallet jack, palletizing finished goods, and loading trucks. Periods of standing, walking, sitting

● Mechanical aptitude helpful

● Building / Grounds maintenance experience is very helpful!

● Ability to inspect incoming parts is helpful, but not required
