Advanced Sleep & Respiratory Institute is looking to hire a medical assistant in our busy Daytona Beach, FL. We are professional, agile and fast-paced. Looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. Our position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility.

Duties:

- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record patients' vital signs, such as manual blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries.

Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficient in medication administration techniques.
Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs. Knowledge of inhalation therapy techniques.
Excellent communication skills able to help answer patients questions over the phone.
Knowledge of Prior auths for CT scans, Pet scans etc. Knowledge of Prior authorization for medications through Cover my meds and Biologics for Severe Asthma helpful.
