Software/Systems Engineer
Salary: $90k-$100k
Location: Onsite Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Responsibilities:
- Software/Systems Engineer 2-6 years of experience installing, configuring, testing, deploying, and maintaining system software enhancements.
- Provide Linux OS system administration to Space Data Integration (SDI) efforts in the FAA National Airspace System (NAS).
- Provide operational support to commercial space launch and reentry operations
- Support to other program objectives as needed:
- Establish and maintain lab configurations for development, test and production environments and related interfaces. Familiar with Virtual Machine environments.
- Support automated testing, integration, and deployment of SDI software.
- Familiar with agile development process.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system software issues – analyze network captures and log files
Required:
- Monitor and manage Linux systems (RHEL) and infrastructure
- Support integration and test activities
- Agile development process and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
- Version control software Bitbucket or GitHub
- Database and message broker software experience such as ActiveMQ Artemis or Solaris
- System networking – firewalls, switches, LDAP, DNS and HTPD servers
- VMware, ESXi and vCenter
- Ansible playbook development
- HTML, Java Script, PHP
- BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field.
- 2-6 years related experience
- Self starter, willing to learn
- Organized
- Teamwork
