Position Summary

Candidate must be a licensed Physical Therapist. The Clinic Director's role is for the development and supervision of the day to day operations of the rehabilitation clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the President and/or Business Manager, the Clinic Director is responsible for:

• Manage daily operations of the facility.
• Maintain physical environment of facility and equipment.
• Coordinate and lead marketing efforts for facility.
• Organize and lead staff meetings, and oversee clinical staff meetings.
• Oversee daily schedule and staffing with the assistance of the Office Administrator.
• Perform direct patient care to achieve maximum physical recovery.
• Community Service and other events such as:
• Hosting a booth at a health related fair.
• Presenting an in-service to outside sources.
• Providing coverage to special events such as sport camps, races, tournaments & lectures.
• Performing complimentary screenings to the public with appropriate referrals as necessary.
• Assist with data collection as necessary.
• Coordinate orientation of new employees with corporate office.
• Periodic and timely written communication to physicians.
• Supervising administrative staff in coordination with the Office Administrator and Management staff.
• Supervising of staff PT's and PTA's and Tech.
• The Clinic Manager is also responsible for continuing to establish and develop professional relations with Advanced Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation's valued referral sources including physicians, physician office staff, insurance companies, local companies, vendors etc.
• Physician contacts – inform physicians of our services, locations, quality patient care and philosophy to be the best provider of Physical Therapy in the area with applicable communication and follow-up. Thank referral sources for the patients they sent to us.
• Education. Staff in-services, community in-services, attendance at continuing education courses, and follow-up summary of all continuing education courses to staff members.*

Day-to-day responsibilities of physical therapist/clinic director position:

• Overall management of outpatient clinic with the direction and assistance of supervisors and Administrative staff.
• Perform direct patient care to achieve maximum physical recovery.
• Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care.
• Collaborate with Office Administrator and office staff to assure the schedule is accurate and optimized.
• Appropriate documentation to maximize reimbursement.
• Maintain standard of quality patient care.
• Must be team player, compassionate and show respect to patients and APTR staff members.
• Physician communication as required.

Qualifications:

• Management Experience
• At least 2 years experience in an outpatient setting
• Good documentation skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong professional ethics
• Strong leadership qualities
• Degree in Physical Therapy
• Florida professional license
