Job Description
Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Crater to make crates for shipping! This individual will be able to use hands tools and build.
Must have a little experience whether that is carpentry skills, or have worked in construction before.
Responsibilities :
- Fabricates wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and power tools, to package or crate various products.
- Assemble materials using nailing or stapling machines, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools.
- Places product in container manually or using hoist
- Bolts heavy pieces to bottom of container or skid
- Wraps and pads products
- Builds crate around large or off shaped articles
- Attach identification labels or stencils containing such information as shipping, destination weight, and type of product
- Assist in blocking, bracing and cushioning for fragile materials
- Load and unload by hand as well as with the assistance of mechanical equipment. (forklift, pallet jack etc. )
- Operate some or all of the following tools in a safe manner according to OSHA and company guidelines
Job Requirements
Qualifications :
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Knowledge of carpentry skills
- High school or GED
Pay : $14 an hour
Shift : M-F 5 or 6am - 2 : 30 or 3 : 30 pm
