AMD's Low Power Advanced Development team is seeking talented, self-motivated individuals to help develop low power innovations that enable industry-leading power efficient computing and graphics products. We have openings for R&D engineers focusing on post-Si platform bring-up, validation and productization of advanced power features and serve as key contributors in small project teams working on low power advanced development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Power feature post-Si validation, debugging, tuning, and bring-up
• Interface with architecture, design, and production teams
• Bench testing platforms
• Scripting and coding firmware

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Background in power conversion and delivery for digital logic device, ideally x86 CPUs or GPUs
• Familiarity with digital logic power management techniques (clock gating, power gating, V-F curves, on-die voltage regulation, clock integrity, etc..)
• Hardware debug methods and tools
• RTL/Verilog knowledge is a plus
• C , Ruby, Python, Linux BASH scripting and Windows scripting
• Lab Experience: proficient in assembling test hardware for remote or local testing, thermal control devices, working with oscilloscopes, understand power measurement techniques and data collection and analysis
• Understanding networking and network tools (ssh, ping, etc.)
• Database and Data Analysis experience
• Experience and/or familiarity in Design-for-Debug techniques and architectures is preferred

EDUCATION:

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 7 years of experience
