Fall 2024 Information Technology Co-Op/Intern
LOCATION: Austin, TX
ON-SITE: These roles require the student to work full time (40 hours a week), either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the intern term.

Fall: August 19th - December 13th, 2024
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Intern to join our On-Site IT services team at the Austin, TX office.
Provide first-level technical support to employees, addressing issues related to hardware, software, network, and peripherals.
Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of computer systems, software applications, and other IT equipment.
Collaborate with the IT team in daily operations, including system maintenance, inventory management, and documentation.
Participate in IT projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and rollouts, under the guidance of experienced IT professionals.
Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security and data privacy.
Offer friendly and efficient service to ensure a high level of user satisfaction.
Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions and training to enhance technical skills.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows,
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.
• Some experience with help desk support tools and ticketing systems is preferred.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for assisting users and documenting issues.
• Ability to work in a team and learn from others.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude to help non-technical users
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
