Continuous Integration Engineer, AI Software Solutions

THE ROLE:

Would you like to be part of a world class team enabling software for world class datacenters and the mightiest supercomputers? AMD is searching for talented and highly motivated Continuous Integration Engineers to join our team of developers pushing the boundaries of efficiency and performance to enable and optimize the software ecosystem for the next generation of GPU computational accelerators. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing CI expertise and support for AMD ML software development. This includes administering and running a continuous integration environment, data capture and presentation of functional and performance data, and general cluster administration.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled computer scientist or engineer to join our team who has proven experience setting up and maintaining CI environments. You will work with a team of CI Engineers and Software Engineers to provide CI support for application development and customer projects. Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well within a team environment. This position requires a miminum of 3 years of post college experience.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related subject, with at least five years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstratable expertise in the design, install, setup, operation, and maintenance of Continuous Integration systems
• Demonstrable skill in leading a matrixed team to implement CI goals.
• Ability to capture data and present it in the form of dashboards and reports.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C

• Experience with CI systems in a product delivery environment.
• Experience with open-source software development including collaboration with community maintainers.
• Experience with software engineering methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn skills, tools, and methods to advance the quality, consistency, and timeliness of AMD software products.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong software development skills including demonstrated expertise with git, Jenkins, Jira, and similar tools.
• Ability to integrate performance testing as part of the CI test apparatus.
• Web development capabilities
• Linux administration, scripting expertise,
• Experience with container development and deployment (Docker, Singularity)
• Experience with CI environments involving GPU codes.
• Experience in multiple phases of software development including development, testing and final release.
• Experience providing clear and timely communication related to status and other key aspects of the project to leadership team.
