Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement and statistical purposes.

Duties:

-Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures

- Assign accurate ICD & CPT codes to records for diagnoses and procedures

- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulation, including HIPPA

- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures when necessary

- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations

Requirements:

- Certification as a CPC required or experience equivalent

- Proficiency in using medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Strong knowledge of medical records systems and electronic health records

- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Familiarity with insurance billing and reimbursement processes

- Experience in working in medical coding and billing

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
