The Quality Control Technician Supervisor is responsible for ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all the manufacturing work cells and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all the manufacturing and Quality Control laboratories. It will include applying tactical skills in a collaborative environment with cross-functional departments.

A successful candidate must be a team player with a friendly can-do attitude. Organized with analytical capabilities and communication skills, independently motivated, a resourceful individual with the ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment. This position supports quality testing and personnel for the Lodi Plastics Manufacturing organization with 24x7 operation.

This position is part of the Quality Control Team and will be in Lodi, CA. This position is on-site . This is a Day Shift Position supporting the supervision of Day, Swing, and Grave shifts. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of Quality Control Technicians.
• Ensures maintenance of QC equipment – qualification, calibration, and maintenance.
• Participate in investigations for failures during Quality control testing; perform troubleshooting, process development, and improvement activities.
• Analyzes complex information from a fact-based standpoint to develop a 
  strategy/plan that is consistent with the evidence collected.
• Coach team/others on how to leverage individual differences and strengths in the 
  team to optimize decision-making and develop solutions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school degree with 8 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of laboratory experience, OR Master’s degree with 3 years of laboratory experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience (Indirect People Management experience can be substituted for Direct supervisor experience)
• Manage changing conditions, processes, and approaches, and lead organizations through change effectively.
• Track record of measurable, operational improvements to Quality Systems related functions

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:

• Experience in Quality System Processes
• Experience in Manufacturing Operations
• Experience with molecular diagnostics

The salary range $90,600 - $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
