Advanced Foot & Ankle of Indian River is an established podiatry practice, with two locations, that is looking to add an enthusiastic and organized Patient Representative/Insurance Specialist to our Sebastian office. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and matching 401K.

Summary of Job Profile:

Provides extensive Patient First experience. Exhibits outstanding customer service skills Supports clinic operations, obtains referral/authorizations, maintains patient schedules, and other administrative duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing communication between patients and the medical team throughout the duration of treatment.
• Ensures all patients are scheduled or rescheduled according to the calendar.
• Confirms appointments for the following day.
• Check in and check out patients while collecting payments.
• Maintaining patient data up-to-date and verifying patient information at every visit.
• Verifies and updates all scheduled patient insurance information daily.
• Identifies the patients’ need for referrals/authorization and obtains them when necessary.
• Ensures authorizations are secured for any imaging, DMEs, or other requests by the physician.
• Assists with other administrative areas when needed.
• Ensures all faxes are filed properly.
• Schedules new patient referrals promptly.
• Maintains and addresses our website appointment requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization.
• 1 year medical experience is highly preferred.
