Advanced Fire Protection Services is Hiring a Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative/Estimator Near Fort Walton Beach, FL

The function of the Fire Sprinkler Construction Sales Representative/Estimator, is to provide accurate and detailed estimates, negotiate, and sell sprinkler construction installations for AFPS.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:.
- Review project specifications, project drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed estimates and quotes for fire sprinkler systems.
- Attend bid walk-thru and conduct field surveys to support estimates.
- Collaborate with fire sprinkler construction team to develop work load schedules, material, labor and project timelines.
- Establish sales schedule to coincide with installation schedules.
- Develop/maintain an active proposal backlog that will support achieving departmental goals.
- Read and understand contracts to ensure pricing, project drawings, and scope of work is correct.
- Work with alarm estimators to develop and present combined alarm and sprinkler estimates to customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
- Three (3) years of experience in preparing fire sprinkler system estimates.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) year degree in Fire Sprinkler design, Construction or similar industry preferred.
- NICET Certification or equivalent in design and layout is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured on our driver policy.
- Acceptable background check and drug screening
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to persuade and close sales, ability to communicate industry knowledge, and ability to estimate and write effectively.
- Ability to read and understand Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
- Be able to calculate and understand estimates, plans, specs/contracts and the specialized skills for job cost and estimating related to the fire protection industry.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
