Job Summary:
Advanced Fiber Products is looking for an employee to assist in our shipping and receiving department. The hours are from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Advanced Fiber Products offers Health, Dental, Vision, Life and 401 (k) retirement as well as a generous PTO/VACATION policy. Training will be done on the job with our qualified trainers on 1st shift.

Pay: Negotiable based off experience

Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements
- Perform inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the warehouse

1. Possess good time management skills

2. Load freight according to DOT standards

3. Complete 5-S audit daily

4. Possess the ability to operate a sit-down forklift for multiple hours a day

5. Be willing to work outside in the elements, summer and winter

6. Load and unload trucks per paperwork

7. Put raw material into storage

8. Pull completed product from storage per paperwork

9. Stage completed product per paperwork

10. Be able to bend and lift 50 lbs.

11. Able to work overtime as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus

Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Good communication skills to interact with team members, carriers, and vendors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds
