FT Medical Biller/Insurance Specialist. Independent Ophthalmology Practice, located in Branchburg, NJ, is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join the team! Our optical features a large frame selection, as well as a state-of-the-art lab.

Responsibilities include:

• verifying medical insurance eligibility on Availity, NaviNet, Trizetto
• verifying vision insurance eligibility on Eyefinity & EyeMed
• posting charges (CPT-4/ICD-10) & submitting insurance claims
• posting EOBs, including adjustments
• posting patient payments
• review physician's coding for accuracy
• working AR including denials and appeals
• sending patient bills
• collect co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles
• schedule appointments
• review patient demographics in practice management system

Knowledge of Medical/Vision insurance, coding (CPT-4, ICD-10, modifiers) and HIPAA is required. Should be proficient working with commercial insurance, as well as Medicare, VSP and EyeMed. Experience with NaviNet, Availity, Cigna for Health Care Professionalsand Trizetto is helpful.
