We are looking for an energetic and friendly licensed practical nurse/certified medical assistant to handle our patient calls. Our Patient Call Screening Coordinator is responsible for addressing and handling all patient calls received in the call screening phone queue. Ensuring completion of medication prior authorizations and medication refills according to designated timeline.
Good communication skills required between the physicians and the other staff handling patient calls. Attention to detail documenting the patients chart.
Updating direct manager and physicians of changes within the department which need attention.
Monitor efficiency and timeliness of the prior authorization process.
Provide a timely response to each caller. Set high standards for MA staff who will also perform these duties.
This position requires 40 hours a week including 1-2 evenings and may include travel to various office site. Your attendance will be required at quarterly staff meetings.
