Job Title: Industrial Electrician
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Summary
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of various Ready Mix / Aggregate Plants (Dry Batch, Central Mix, Stationary and Portable) and related equipment such as conveyors material handling gates, cylinders (pneumatic and hydraulic), pumps, air compressors, etc. Troubleshoots and replaces defective electrical apparatus, such as switches, relays, motors, and electrical and electronic components of machinery equipment.
§ Electrical maintenance or repair of Aggregates Plants and related equipment such as conveyors material handling gates, cylinders (pneumatic and hydraulic), pumps, air compressors, etc.
§ Troubleshoot wiring from drawings.
§ Troubleshoots and replaces defective electrical apparatus, such as switches, relays, motors, and electrical and electronic components of machinery equipment.
§ Installation of temporary power service in a major industrial setting (i.e. single and three phase circuits, pulling cables, terminations, installation of temporary breakers and panels).
§ Read blueprints and diagrams including P&ID’s and electrical code specifications.
§ Implement Client safety standards.
§ Performs other general electrical related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
§ 5 of related experience required.
§ Knowledge of control circuits, PLC’s and 480 volt systems and 4160 volt systems
§ Journeyman or Master Electrical license preferred.
§ Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
§ Ability to work successfully in team environment.
§ Valid Driver's License (CDL Preferred)
§ Must have own tools
§ Previous experience preferred in aggregate / heavy industrial / manufacturing environment
§ Master Electrician Certification
§ Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
§ Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such extreme dirt, dust, smoke, and/or loud noises.
§ Wears all required personal protective equipment on daily basis.
§ Able to climb 60-70 ft. in the air
§ Able to lift 50-100 lbs.
§ Attend and participate in required trainings as necessary and as required by MSHA.
