Responsibilities

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to find timely, efficient, and cost-effective ways to transport goods. The Logistics Analyst reviews cost implications of different supply chain decisions to help key stakeholders make better business decisions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Help define and build management reports
• Automate reoccurring metrics and performance reporting via Power BI
• Identify cost savings opportunities
• Audit accuracies with master data
• Complete ad hoc analytical requests
• Conduct spend analysis and supplier / customer / plant / yard trend analyses
• Assist in development and tracking of project work, savings, spends, etc.
• Evaluate logistics routing and utilization of technology and systems
• Review daily freight reports and follow up with dispatchers and managers when alternate opportunities are identified
• Assist in preparing business justification for additional drivers, equipment, investment, etc.
• Assist in due diligence for determining business changes such as territory and/or location assignment
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Logistics

Preferred Experience:

2 years business experience required. Logistics/transportation experience preferred. System systems experience and P&L exposure preferred
