Position Summary:
The Maintenance Tech I handles all equipment repairs, equipment PM?s necessary to keep production equipment operating with minimal downtime. The focus is on ensuring efficient and effective economics of operations, and achievement of maintenance department goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? The Maintenance Tech I must have the ability to assist in the repair of 480 Volt 3-phase, 220 Volt & 110 Volt single phase Motor Starters, Contacts Controls.
? The Maintenance Tech I will have the ability to assist in the electrical and mechanical replacement of 480 volt 3-phase Motors, DC motors up to 700 HP and small single phase 110 volt & 220 volts motors.
? The Maintenance Tech I will have the aptitude to read and understand electrical schematics for equipment controls, assist in deterring equipment failures and knowledge to make repairs to the electrical controls.
? The Maintenance Tech I will have the skills to read PLC Control logic and some troubleshooting of PLC Controls at input and output levels.
? The Maintenance Tech I must has based understanding to setting up, and troubleshooting raw material Feeder Systems.
? The Maintenance Tech I will have the based understanding of mechanical equipment to troubleshoot, and ability to determine mechanical issues which may include the replacement of hydraulics/pneumatics valves, pumps, blowers, gearboxes and slide-gates.
? The Maintenance Tech I will have some base skills to use an Arch, Wire, and Cutting welding equipment to make minor repairs or fabrication of parts.
? The Maintenance Tech I will be able to work require times to provide coverage that may not fall under their regular schedule
? Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, environmental, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
? Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively and relay information to management.
? Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
? Comply with, work to, and provide support for all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Laboratory management systems, policies, procedures, work instructions for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, and ISO17025.
? Support compliance with all other applicable regulatory (such as OSHA) and company OH&S and EMS requirements.
? Comply with all ACP Company rules, policies, procedures and report any/ all hazards, incidences and accidents identified and/ or witnessed directly to the supervisor/manager, and Plant Safety department.
? Is aware of the significant impacts, associated aspects, and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties, identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented controls within his/her dept.
Experience, Education/Training and License
? Previous electrical experience
? Previous mechanical experience
? 1-3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
? Forklift
