The Academy Grounds, Baseball will be tasked to maintain fields/surfaces are the standard on our 500-acre campus. This position is a great opportunity for an individual who is eager to learn all facets of maintaining the playing surface, at IMG academy, at the highest level.A strong ability to work well with coworkers and supervisors in a team environment is expected.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with cultural practices to the playing field: mowing, aeration, topdressing, sodding, edging, etc.
• Assist with fertilizer calibrations to efficiently apply foliar and granular products to the field.
• Maintain all clay areas to MLB Specifications: Game mound, home plate, bullpen mounds, infield, baselines, and warning track.
• Assist in field painting: foul lines, coaches' boxes, logos, etc.
• Maintain a well-organized, clean shop as well as maintain all field equipment.
• Maintain all exterior flowers includes watering, fertilizing, and weed control.
• Assist with a wide range of non-baseball events including Lacrosse, Football, and Soccer.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Experience using lawn mowers or other landscaping equipment
• Demonstrated experience with landscaping
• Progressive experience with employer
• Ability to work outdoors 365 days a year
• Ability to perform routine maintenance repairs

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40-70 lbs.
• Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc.in all weather.
• The department may require weekend and evening work.
• The employee will be working on a campus and will be required to move within the campus, both indoors and outdoors.
• The employee will be expected to be active throughout the majority of the day, and therefore requires high levels of energy.
• The employee will be bending, pushing, pulling and twisting throughout their regular work duties.
• The employee will be working on mechanical equipment throughout their regular work duties.
