Duties:
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients in hospice care.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs under the supervision of a nurse.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents or patients at all times.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents or patients.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Promote and respect resident rights and dignity.
Qualifications:
YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF ALL PERSONAL CARE NEEDS FOR THE CLIENT SUCH AS BATHING, TOILETING, HYGIENE, ETC.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, patients, and their families.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of caregiving techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require physical strength, such as lifting or transferring patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
