Advance Kids is Hiring a Kala Board Certified Behavior Analyst Crisis Intervention Near Sacramento, CA

Job Summary:

The Behavior Analyst will work with clients of Alta California Regional Center who have been in a residential facility or are at jeopardy of being placed in a residential facility based on the presence of severe problem behaviors. Job duties primarily consist of analysis of problem behaviors, training of staff and caregivers, and monitoring of implementation of behavior intervention plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Behavior Analyst is responsible for the performance and supervision of direct care staff and/or RBT (registered behavior technicians) and for insuring each program is behaviorally sound, ethical and generalizable to caretakers and the community.

The Behavior Analyst is responsible for completing thorough functional analysis of problem behaviors and developing individualized Applied Behavior Analytic programs focused on reducing severe problem behaviors and increasing functional skills for the individual. The Behavior Analyst will work closely with an LMFT as part of our full wraparound services. Consumers range in age as well as diagnosis and are living either in their home or in residential facilities. The Behavior Analyst will monitor therapy teams to insure each consumer’s success. The Behavior Analyst will interface with adjunctive service providers and representatives from other agencies. The Behavior Analyst will produce regular reports documenting treatment procedures and progress. The Behavior Analyst will be required to be available by phone for client emergencies between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Qualifications for a Behavior Consultant:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a BCBA conducting FA’s, developing behavior intervention plans, training caregivers in implementation of plans
  • Must have experience working with a variety of disabilities and ages
  • Exemplary writing skills, communication skills, time management, organizational skills, training ability and flexibility.
  • Ability to run, stand, sit, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach, push, and lift a person weighing 50 pounds; normal visual, vocal & hearing acuity; use of a computer; ability to travel via automobile.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation; availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; and have access to a computer with knowledge of internet, e-mail and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and DMV check; reference checks; provide a negative TB test; provide vaccine record; education verification; current driver license and proof of valid auto insurance.
