SUMMARY

The Strategic Payment Solutions Manager reports to the Director, Strategic Payment Solutions and is responsible for financial analysis of payment solutions, identifying trends and opportunities for enhancements, coordinating between payment vendors and the business to ensure continuity of services, and overseeing banking operations for stores.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for financial analysis of payment solutions and associated costs to assess performance and challenges and return on investment analysis for opportunities to enhance processes or system capabilities.
• Responsible for leading enterprise-wide payment processing initiatives identified by the Strategic Payment Solution team to introduce new payment solutions, enhance security and features for existing payment solutions, and realize related cost savings.
• Responsible for communicating with business process owners and IT team affected by payment solution updates, migrations, and outages to act as a liaison with payment vendors.
• Coordinates with vendors regarding issues within payment environment to raise any issues or needs of the business to gain needed resources. Facilitates vendor payment through submission of vendor invoices to Oracle ERP.
• Facilitates compliance tracking and communications among Compliance and Store Operations counterparts.
• Facilitates training and onboarding for new solutions for business users to incorporate new processes into their job function and tasks.
• Manage the store banking administration to ensure accounts are appropriately updated and banking issues are resolved for corporate functions and store level employees.
• Oversees procedure and process flow documentation for existing and new payment solutions, including performing walkthroughs with various process owners.
• Collaborate with Leaders and Team Members on special assignments, as requested.
• Supervisory responsibilities recruiting, developing, and retaining key talent planning; assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related business field; MBA preferred
• 5 years related Treasury, Finance, or Accounting experience and/or training with at least 3 of the years supervising treasury staff
• Knowledge of the principles of cash management in a corporate environment including banking and electronic transaction systems
• Knowledge of the principles of payment transaction systems in a corporate environment including banking and merchant processing systems.
• Required skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skillset; understanding of financial modeling and data mining.
• Knowledge of documentation writing and process flowchart creation.
• Achieves high level, sustainable performance, and results; uses logic and insight to solve difficult problems and create effective solutions.
• Effectively responds to change and is comfortable with ambiguity; manages conflicting priorities.
• Must be able to travel 5-10% of the time for conferences, professional development, and meetings with internal customers and vendors.
