Job Description The Product Manager plays a critical role working closely with the business and across the Information Technology organization defining, delivering and supporting business solutions and supporting technical roadmaps. They will create and own a Product Roadmap, including features, outcomes, impact and measurement. They will demonstrate skills in evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, translation into Agile story specifications and Sprint-based plans. They will formulate and define scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of desired business outcomes. They will act as the voice of the customer and the business to the technical team(s) and deliver solutions that improve the brand experience. They will evaluate and translate end user needs and problems to technical associates and/or vendors where appropriate. They will understand the business implications of technical solutions and assist in defining and documenting the technology solutions to support any future business needs. They will educate end users on new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools as well as providing support for existing product systems and experiences. JOB DESCRIPTION: This Omni-Channel Catalog Product Manager position will be responsible for building, defining, and executing a roadmap of capabilities in support of the Catalog experience used by online and in-store customers. The successful candidate should be experienced in Agile software delivery (and the Product Manager role in Agile), roadmap development, feature writing and planning, as well as instrumentation and measurement of forecasted outcomes. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and data structure & usage knowledge, in addition to experience working with internal as well as external stakeholders. They will be a disciplined self-starter who works well with partners in all parts of the organization – developers, PMO, business, store team members and more; all while maintaining a focus on the customer experience and improving Advance Auto’s ability to meet customer needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the Product Owner for capabilities within Omni-Channel Catalog. Serve as the Voice of the Customer to development – using both qualitative and quantitative information to inform decisions. Serve as a strong consultative partner to others throughout the organization about catalog capabilities and needs. Analyze and translate business requirements and change requests into functional specifications. Identify problems and opportunities from qualitative and quantitative information Perform strategic roadmap development activities, including Competitive Landscapes, Customer analysis and Product Opportunity assessments. Become a subject-matter-expert on how catalog is used (and how it COULD be used) across customers, platforms, channels, and future opportunities. Report on the health of the Catalog product. Maintain a 3-year roadmap for the product, with clear definition in the next 6-12 months leading to aspirational goals in the distant future. Ensure agile development achieves sufficient output to accomplish outcomes. Think strategically, while delivering incrementally ADDITIONAL PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with partners, field Team Members, developers, and leaders. Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the stakeholder’s needs and issues. Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
