Postgres SQL Developer

Location: San Ramon, CA

Duration: 6 months

Skillset

Strong knowledge of Postgres database, PL/pgSQL and best practices.
Development experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
Experience with AWS cloud resources (such as S3).
Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as DBeaver.
Experience with text editor (such as UltraEdit)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access database).
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and operational support of production applications
Knowledge of the Vitech V3 Benefits Management system a plus.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence a plus.
Familiarity with Version Control tools such as GitHub and TortoiseSVN a plus.
Experience with Java development a plus.

Deliverables
Develops and/or works with programmers to create front-end applications and provide back-end application tools for various departments to meet business needs.
Reviews Benefits Management System s business user security configuration and adjusts based on changing requirements.
Creates Scripts to support batch processing and scheduling requirements.
Extracts and manipulates data using SQL codes to support business data requirements.
Prepares technical documentation to describe all program development, logic, and coding.
Provides technical production support for various departments.
Performs unit testing of the enhancements/issue fixes before production release.
Produces application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams.
