Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Placement Specialist to join our team. As a Placement Specialist, you will play a vital role developing employer relationships and job bank for both employment and training opportunities. Our organization assists young adults as they prepare to make career decisions. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the matching of individuals looking for employment or training opportunities with the right worksite. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in young adults' future.

Duties:

-Identify employers in growth industries that are looking to develop young talent.

-Conduct employer orientation to educates businesses on the benefits of hiring young adults and developing their skills sets to enter the workforce

- Communicate with potential employers to assess the needs and preferences for employment opportunities

- Document all communications with employers and youth via case notes in database application

- Manage social media platforms to promote training programs available

- Conduct cold calls to potential employers, informing them about our programs and how we can assist in their labor needs

- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote our programs accross the county

- Provide ongoing support and guidance to businesses, addressing any concerns or questions they may have

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficiency in using technology

- Experience in social media management for promotional purposes

- Strong cold calling skills to engage potential businesses

- Relationship management skills to build partnerships with local businesses and organizations

- Ability to negotiate agreements with businesses that will provide onsite training or mentoring opportunities for young adults
