Job Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) to join our team. As an LCADC, you will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Your role will involve conducting diagnostic evaluations, providing individual and group therapy sessions, and implementing behavior management techniques.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' substance abuse issues
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Provide individual counseling sessions to address underlying issues related to substance abuse
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and encourage positive behavior change
- Utilize behavior management techniques to help clients develop coping skills and prevent relapse.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrist.
- Implement evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to address co-occurring mental health disorders
- Provide crisis management interventions when necessary to ensure the safety of clients
Requirements:
- Valid LCADC license in NJ
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the field of addiction counseling
- Strong understanding of behavioral health concepts and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Proficiency in crisis management techniques
