Provide patient care for the adult outpatient Oncology service, a multi-specialty service, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performs direct patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic services. Within the APP/Physician relationship, the APP will exercise autonomy in medical decision making and services provided. Plan, deliver, and evaluate the health care required by the patient, consistent with accreditation guidelines.
In addition to the ability to exercise autonomy and function independently, the individual needs to be able to work under the direction of the attending physician.Patient care responsibilities will include working weekday clinic hours.This position is part of a dynamic and fast paced environment. The patient population is diverse and complex. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients.

Education/License Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Excellentwrittenand verbalcommunicationskills arerequired.
Desired Qualifications:
Desirable (1-3 years) experience in internal medicine or previous experience in specified hospital specialty area or demonstrated knowledge gained through educational program or clinical rotations in that area of clinical practice.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage acutely ill patient population is highly desirable.
Experience providing overall medical care and provide medical management for patients in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
Experience exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided is highly desirable.
