Property Maintenance Technician

Job Function

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to manage maintenance issues, as assigned, for long term rental properties contracted with aDoor Property Management. In this role, you will be asked to perform basic repairs on plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems, assist with carpentry, trim, painting, landscaping, deep cleaning and other tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include drywall, painting, repairing doors/trim, fixtures, basic plumbing and/or electrical issues.
• Obtains bids for specialized technicians and schedules as needed.
• Ability to complete and provide estimates for small renovations and remodels.
• Perform quarterly inspections to ensure all properties are well kept and properly maintained.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of properties.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Updates systems, as needed, to ensure work orders are properly logged in computer systems.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary and timely manner and any potential future issues are not overlooked.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• General construction or prior facilities maintenance
• Must be willing to learn and implement Buildium software processes
• Specialized experience with plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC maintenance
• Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
• Mechanical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to regularly lift items that are 50-100 lbs
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees/residents in a pleasant manner
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Hours & Commitment

Typical hours for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Maintenance Technician may be required to assist with after hour and weekend emergency related issues. This is a full‐time, salaried position, with a GREAT benefits package, and lots of opportunity for growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
