Job Description:

As a Volunteer Hurdle Coach at Royal T Foundation, your role is pivotal in aligning with our mission statement, empowering individuals to discover and develop their innate talents through the sport of hurdling. You will contribute to fostering foundational relationships within diverse communities, promoting socioeconomic growth and personal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Hurdling Instruction: Lead comprehensive training sessions focused on teaching athletes proper hurdling techniques, form, and strategies, tailored to various skill levels and age groups.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide personalized mentorship and guidance to athletes, fostering their holistic development and nurturing their natural talents both on and off the track.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with local communities to promote inclusivity, diversity, and opportunity, serving as a positive role model and ambassador for the Royal T Foundation's mission.
  • Advocate for Equity: Advocate for equity and access within the sport of hurdling, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of background or socioeconomic status, have the opportunity to participate and excel.
  • Safety and Well-being: Prioritize the safety, well-being, and holistic development of athletes, ensuring that training sessions adhere to safety standards and provide a supportive environment for personal growth.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow coaches, staff, and volunteers to coordinate training schedules, events, and community outreach initiatives, fostering a cohesive team environment dedicated to our mission.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in hurdling techniques and coaching methodologies through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Mission Integration: Integrate the Royal T Foundation's mission and core values into all aspects of coaching and mentorship, fostering an environment of empowerment, inclusivity, and socioeconomic growth.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a hurdler or hurdle coach preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Passion for empowering individuals and fostering community growth.
  • Commitment to upholding the values of inclusivity, diversity, and equity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and required training.
