Adler University is Hiring an Admissions Engagement Specialist Near Chicago, IL

Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Marketing, the Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in Adler University's growth and success by supporting lead engagement through multiple communication channels (phone, email, text, and chat). Their primary responsibility is to contact and nurture inquires generated through our marketing efforts, with the goal of scheduling appointments for the admissions team and/or increasing applications in the pipeline.

The Engagement Specialist will develop positive and engaging relationships with prospective students by working to understand their personal and professional goals – and connecting them to Adler’s academic programs. They will implement lead nurturing strategies that keep prospective students engaged and informed about the University’s academic programs and utilize email campaigns, webinars, and other relevant methods to stay connected with leads over time.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in recruitment or sales/marketing, with an emphasis in sales pipeline management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in higher education preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent track record in team building and working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong computer skills with standard programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience working with a CRM for reporting and communications management, Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing marketing email platforms (Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
  • Outstanding public speaking skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong alignment with the mission and values of Adler University.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead Engagement: 80%

  • Identify and execute strategies to engage uncontacted leads in attempt to qualify and connect them with the admissions team.
  • Coordinate and implement a multi-pronged approach in engaging leads including email, text, and call campaigns.
  • Counsel prospective students on Adler programs based on stated career goals.
  • Monitor and manage inquiries for the university on all chat and social media messaging platforms.
  • Manage and deploy all lead engagement emails including drip campaigns, event/webinar invites, and other marketing content.
  • Collaborate with the admissions and communications teams to curate compelling and relevant content for lead engagement efforts.

Recruitment Events: 10%

  • Assist the Recruitment Specialist in the execution of internal recruiting events including open houses, webinars, faculty meet and greets, and interview days.

Other: 10%

  • Participate in weekly team meetings, by informing conversations related to trends identified within recruitment.
  • Maintain an advanced working knowledge of Adler programs, policies, processes, and admissions requirements. .
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment (Physical Demands): The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
