Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a high-energy, experienced and adaptable Materials Manager for the manufacturing operations in Eudora, Kansas (off of Highway 10).

The Materials Manager is responsible for managing the procurement, scheduling, storage, transportation, and distribution of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. The Supply Chain Manager also plans production, material handling, transportation and controls, and schedules inventory. Prior experience with Tier One Manufacturing Operations in Automotive is a requirement for this role.

The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Materials Manager in Eudora, Kansas:

• Responsible for meeting KPI targets for Raw Materials, Days on hand, Work In Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods inventories, production scheduling.
• Communicates to business unit managers any changes by customers, production downtime that effects customers and takes alternative methods to meet demand.
• Maintains raw material levels to facilitate manufacturing requirements of throughput, inventory and operating expense.
• Overall responsibility for shipping/receiving department.
• Ensure the effective organization of warehouse inventories and work in progress and oversee logistic accuracy.
• Monitors all delivery performance categories and submits corrective actions when necessary, in the customer’s preferred format or system. Reviews monthly ratings from the customer for accuracy.
• Familiarity with warehousing layout and 5S practices

Salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 per year. Specific salary is commensurate with experience and factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.

Experience

• 2 - 5 years: SAP Materials Management experience is required
• 5 - 7 years: Materials management experience in manufacturing is required

• 2 - 5 years: Financial background, education, or ability to understand financials (P&L) a definite asset
• 2 - 5 years: Materials Management experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing is preferred

Education

• Bachelors or better in Logistics /Supply Chain Management or related field
