Adjuvant Health is Hiring a Career Advisor Near Queens, NY

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc.

Position Title: Career Advisor Location: Jamaica 

Reports To: Employment and Engagement Coordinator

General Purpose: 

Career Advisor will possess a high level of competencies and characteristics to include client engagement, time management, efficiency, organization, and the ability to juggle competing priorities to complete all tasks. Willingness to serve and ability to interact with clients, focusing on job placement and client engagement.

Essential Functions: 

  • Coordinating and tracking placements and engagement 
  • Develop, maintain, and provide client’s activities to optimize engagement & placement outcome rates for all Career Services programs.
  • Exercise independent judgment and analyze trends to offer recommendations to management team.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: 

· Individual must be a highly motivated professional 

· Must have strong interpersonal skills.

· BA/BS degree or 5 years experience in HRA related areas preferred.

Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised: 

· Career Advisor must provide world class customer service by displaying a client first approach and maintaining client privacy standards.

· Follow clients throughout the program and conduct regular interviews to help assess their current situation and challenges.

· Conduct regular follow ups via, text messaging and monthly in person counseling sessions.

· Manage systems, applications and their associated operating systems, software and reporting tools.

· Provide staff with information on program updates.

· Facilitate case management techniques including the requirements for establishing, progress notes and managing case records.

· Other related activities/duties as needed.
