Our locally owned businesses are looking for a Junior Bookkeeper. The Adirondack Fragrance & Flavor Farm and Nature's Storehouse are dynamic small businesses with complex and interesting accounting challenges to solve. Work with our senior bookkeeper to learn accounting and help us grow our businesses. We are willing to hire you if you are hard working, have great attention to detail and are a fast learner.

Responsibilities: - Manage daily financial transactions and document financial information. - Maintain and update accounting records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments using QuickBooks Enterprise. - Handle inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. - Assist with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements. - Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. - Support month-end and year-end close processes. - Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements: - Proven bookkeeping experience or a relevant degree in finance, accounting, or business administration. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise; familiarity with its inventory functions is a plus. - Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. - Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. - Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with honesty and integrity. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
