Adient Aerospace, LLC is Hiring a Program Management Intern Near Huntington, CA

Adient Aerospace is welcoming back the return of our Summer Internship Program, and we are looking for Engineering Interns to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. This is full-time, on-site role, and based in Huntington Beach, CA. We look for highly proficient individuals who are collaborative, value diversity, enjoy working as a team, and share our passion to succeed. We want to invest in our interns with opportunities for professional development and growth within the company. This will be a 10-week internship program, beginning on Monday, June 17th and ending on Friday, August 30th.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Management Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program management within the aerospace industry. The Program Management Intern will work closely with our seasoned professionals, assisting with various aspects of program management and gaining valuable insights into the complexities of aerospace project execution.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions(Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Support program managers in organizing, planning, and executing aerospace projects.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and alignment on project objectives and milestones.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and reviews to track progress, identify issues, and propose solutions.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to inform program decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes and methodologies.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2023 – December 2024 is required
    • Minimum GPA 3.0 is required

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Excellent risk management skills required
  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Ability to successfully interface/interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
  • Strong desire to gain hands-on experience and physically interact with a product

  • Demonstrated leadership and team player

  • Passion for the aerospace industry

Other:

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION

  • Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

  • Works with supervisor to execute tasks that comply with instructions or pre-determined processes, methods, and/or practices.

Hourly Rate Transparency: $20 per hour

Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday (40 hours a week)
