Adient Aerospace is welcoming back the return of our Summer Internship Program, and we are looking for Engineering Interns to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. This is full-time, on-site role, and based in Huntington Beach, CA. This will be a 12-week internship program, beginning on Monday, June 3rd and ending on Friday, August 30th.

JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting the Engineer Department with various tasks and projects that are directly related to the industry. The intern will grow both personally and professionally throughout their time with Adient Aerospace.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions(Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

• Calculate, analyze, and re-engineer key components of the Ascent Business Class seats
• Propose and present improvements to designs, materials, and processes to meet targets
• Work with Engineering Managers and a team of engineers in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for projects of various sizes and complexity
• Shadow and assist engineers in daily tasks
• Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2024 – May 2026 is required
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 is required

Knowledge:

• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• Foundational knowledge in engineering
• Familiarity with CAD system (i.e., SolidWorks or CATIA)

Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Positive attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Strong desire to gain hands-on experience and physically interact with a product

Preferred Knowledge / Skills:

• Proficiency in 1 programming language (e.g., Python, C#, C , VBA)
• Demonstrated leadership and team player
• Demonstrated academic excellence and great initiative
• Passion for the aerospace industry

• May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required

Hourly Rate Transparency: $20 per hour

Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday (40 hours a week)
