ADI is Hiring a Director of Distribution Center Operations Near Irving, TX

As the Director of DC Operations, you are an integral member of the ADI Leadership team. You will be responsible for prioritizing safety, focusing on employee engagement, and improving productivity while impacting quality and driving efficiencies to result in a world class operation. The Director of DC Operations will lead activities to support customer service levels while delivering on financial commitments to the organization. In this position, you will leverage internal and external partnerships, technology, and data to identify opportunities to make positive changes to the business. This position is not eligible for US visa sponsorship.

Job Description 

  • Ensure safety and housekeeping of DCs in accordance with OSHA standards 
  • Uphold ADI's business code of conduct on all sites 
  • Assure all distribution centers are compliant with ADI, federal, state, and local policies and regulations with the safety of all associates as the most critical priority
  • Drive accountability throughout the DC network to deliver on KPI goals including Productivity, Quality, On Time Shipping, On Time Receiving, and Inventory Accuracy
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of DC operations which includes inbound receiving, outbound branch replenishments, customer order fulfillment, labor management, and other activities that are carried out by the facilities
  • Manage staffing levels and equipment needs to support world-class customer service while delivering on cost objectives
  • Oversee maintenance programs for all powered material handling equipment in all sites
  • Build discipline around slotting optimization to support maximum picking productivity
  • Partner with Director of DC Strategy to develop annual labor and capex budget; manage financial forecasts to support dynamic business environment throughout the year
  • Balance DC capabilities and constraints with the needs of both internal and external customers 
  • Utilize the Employee Voice Survey process to drive employee engagement and implement continuous improvement throughout DC's
  • Develop and motivate the DC manager team to support and drive accountability to the lowest levels of the organization
  • Support the Director of DC Strategy in the development of Business Excellence standards and robust training programs
  • Implement a new Warehouse Management System in alignment with ERP implementation
  • Ensure consistency in human resource activity management and best practices at all sites
  • Partner with the Director of DC Strategy on network optimization, new site selection, and design strategy
  • Champion Business Excellence principles across the DC network and drive gap closure action plans with the DC Manager team
  • Promote a teamwork-focused culture
  • Responsible for building and managing relationships with manufacturers/dealers of MHE

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-8 years of managing multiple distribution warehouses
  • The ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and meet all management goals on time
  • Understanding of key finance, sales, supply chain, and logistics workflows
  • Strong business process knowledge of distribution optimization 
  • Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint skills 
  • Experience building and managing labor and capex budgets
  • Proven track record of driving cultural change within an organization
