Day-to-Day
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper placement of steel components before welding, in line with shop drawings and job specifications.

• Conducting dimensional inspections on steel pieces after assembly, inspecting welding preparations and tack welds, reporting and addressing non-conformances, updating inspection progress in the system, interpreting plans and standards, calibrating inspection tools, and inspecting structural geometry.

• Must adhere to safety rules, follow corporate quality procedures, and perform other related tasks.

Key Qualifications

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent, with 5 years of fabrication experience and proficiency in blueprint interpretation.

• Technical Skills/Abilities: Knowledge in welding, metallurgy, steel fabrication, and reading blueprints. Ability to interpret codes, drawings, and specifications, maintain dimensional tolerances, and use measuring tools.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in variable climate conditions.

• Key Attributes: Demonstrates autonomy, maturity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills (spoken and written). Displays creativity, critical analysis, flexibility, initiative, leadership, organizational skills, respect for authority and confidentiality, accountability, speed of execution, stress tolerance, and teamwork.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
