The Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of phlebotomy operations within their specified location including the daily operations and duties of the phlebotomist. The individual must be capable of performing, teaching, and monitoring all phlebotomy functions within the laboratory including but not limited to scheduling, specimen collection, labeling, receipt, processing, delivery, and archiving. This individual is responsible for working and communicating with various health professionals within the organization as needed to complete tasks on a daily basis. Decisions are made independently or in collaboration with the Team Leads, Management and the Lab Director. This position ensures compliance with all regulatory/accreditation standards and Adena Health System policies. This position directly supports and works alongside the night shift phlebotomy staff. We are interesting in hiring a highly motivated individual to be the shift leader and primary trainer for the night shift team. The caregiver must be both professional and an effective communicator, have excellent phlebotomy skills and serve as a resource for the phlebotomy and nursing teams.

Minimum/Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• PBT - certified as phlebotomy technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• 2 years relevant experience performing phlebotomy functions in a medical settiing

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full Time, Night Shift; Hours:Monday- Friday 11pm-0730am. Night shift On Call- required Weekend( Saturday/ Sunday) and Holiday shifts are optional for pickup.
