Position Summary: Coordinates the acquisition and distribution of all Operating Room supplies following budgetary guidelines and hospital policy. Assures the accuracy and efficiency of the Surgical Services Inventories. Participates on relevant committees, such as PESC. Acts as liaison between Operating Room, Materiel Services and surgical staff integral to Operating Room supply chain management. Coordinates the purchase of supplies through Purchasing using appropriate Purchasing policies and procedures and to obtain quotes for supplies. Make decisions independently and/or in collaboration with Supervisors, Nursing staff, Physicians and other members of the health care team. Provides an atmosphere that supports our Mission-To Heal, To Educate, To Care. Driver of Continuous Improvement to align with organizational goals and objectives.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education: Associate Degree preferred. RN, LPN, or Scrub Technician preferred. Must have knowledge of health care purchasing policies and procedures.

Required Experience: 3 years previous experience in a clinical surgery setting and purchasing/inventory responsibility. Must have knowledge of health care purchasing policies and procedures. Word, Microsoft word, or Excel experience preferred.

Monday through Friday- Days.
