Requirements:

• Valid and active RDA License issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Dental Board of California

• Minimum of sixteen (16) continuous months of experience within the last twenty-four (24) months performing services similar in scope to those defined herein

• Current and valid California Dental Radiation Safety Certificate

• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (with AED)

Responsibilities:

The Registered Dental Assistant will work under the guidance of the Supervising Dentist, Supervising Dental Assistant, Dental Health Program Manager III, or their designee. The Supervising Dentist or designee will provide professional oversight, while the Supervising Dental Assistant will have administrative responsibility for the services rendered. Minimum requirements and services to be provided by the RDA are those defined defined by Section 1740-1777 of the California Dental Practice Act.
