• BC in either Internal medicine, Geriatrics, or Family medicine
• Have knowledge of VA, Medicaid, and Medicare regulations and guidelines
• Have experience in medical services in a Veterans Home setting, long-term care facility, or similar setting

• Coordinate and facilitate the use of ancillary services such as x-ray and laboratory
• Formulate and implement the use of advance directives and end-of-life care in accordance with State of Delaware laws
• Develop mechanisms for communicating and resolving issues related to medical care
• On-call services that provide for the availability of physician services 24 hours a day
• Review of the resident’s overall condition and program of care at each visit, including medications and treatments
• Signing and dating all orders, such as medications, admission orders, and re-admission orders
