Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct care services in a Veterans Home in West Virginia. The services include but are not limited to manning the Nursing Station for wound care as needed, answering phones, scribing nursing notes, and dispensing medication, no rounds are required beyond a once-daily bed check.

Requirements:
 • Must hold an unencumbered valid WV Licensed Practical Nurse License with no disciplinary actions and in good standing with the West Virginia Board of Nursing
 • Must have a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card
 • Must be registered with WV Cares and affiliated with the Staffing Agency
 • Must have at least (1) year of working experience
 
Responsibilities:
 • Must assist professional nursing and medical staff in providing care to residents, including medical treatments, administering medications, and injections, and assisting in care planning and recording
 • Must screen residents and record medical information; assist physician and registered nurse in examinations and treatments; set up and clean examination areas; give injections and immunizations; instruct residents in the use of medications and possible side effects
 • Will provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of the residents
 • Must ensure documentation into resident’s electronic medical records or paper charts are entered in a timely manner per the policies, procedures, and common practices of the facility. Proper methods of documentation will be discussed in greater detail during the facility orientation
 • Must respond to inquiries from family members, advocates, and other interested parties, ensuring adherence to the State and Federal Confidentiality Laws, and the HIPAA Regulations.
 • Must adhere to the mandatory overtime policy and guidelines set by the facility
