This position is responsible for molding plastic parts in accordance to company requirements and standards. This includes machine set-up, secondary equipment set-up and input process parameters. The candidate will be working within the company team and have the following responsibilities:

• Set-up the injection mold presses and install molds according to specifications.
• Read specifications and set machine controls, regulating prescribed molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding time and pressure.
• Provide input of injection molding process and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement and the reduction of downtime.
• Inspect and evaluate parts for quality.
• Communicate and translate what is happening from a molding standpoint to engineers and management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot molding process; observe equipment and materials in process to analyze and determine cause of malfunctions.
• Make adjustments and/or repairs to equipment to obtain desired results.
• Manually maintain and switch plastic material supplies used on mold machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on injection mold machines.
• Prepare equipment for shutdown daily, ensuring that heats and secondary equipment are properly adjusted.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of plastic injection molding experience.
• Full understanding of injection molding and molding principals.
• Experience with Arburg molding equipment preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, deliver and meet deadlines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have excellent attendance.
• May be required to lift up to 55 lbs periodically.
• High school diploma of equivalent.
• Proficient at reading, writing and speaking English.
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends if required.
• Good communication and personnel interaction skills.

In addition to the injection molding responsibilities, we prefer the candidate to have machine shop equipment experience. This role operates machine tools to periodically produce or modify small volume production and prototype parts. The candidate would have the following responsibilities:

• Operate machine tools such as milling machine (prefer CNC trained) and manual lathe.
• Interpret technical drawings and required specifications for a job.
• Select tools and set-up requirements tailored to each assigned job.
• Demonstrate expertise in producing parts using a variety of materials.
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure the accuracy of dimensions throughout the machining process.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience running equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety precautions.
• Proficiency in math with analytical abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
