ADDISON PRECISION MANUFACTURING is Hiring a Production Control Planner Near Rochester, NY

Addison Precision Manufacturing is a world-class contract manufacturer of precision-machined components. Our focus reflects a commitment to machining excellence, and we strive to deploy the latest technologies to meet the highest standards of any industry requiring precision machined components, including customers in the aerospace, aircraft, medical and precision manufacturing industries.

Addison Precision Manufacturing is looking for a Planner who can create schedules and track customer purchase orders from order placement through fulfillment while maintaining communication and providing customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create & Track production schedules according to customer due dates
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple projects.
  • Monitor incoming materials and necessary outside processing for on time delivery, expedite when necessary
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity within the planning system
  • Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production by working closely with department supervisors
  • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability
  • Changing production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Compiling status reports for customers
  • Informing relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
  • Communicate with customers on status, date changes, and any other questions/concerns.
  • Report job status to management using spreadsheets, custom reports, etc.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Inventory Control.
  • Expedite jobs as required.
  • Conduct status meetings weekly.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field is preferred
  • 2-5 years of previous experience working as a Production Planner, preferably in manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced communication abilities and computer knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
