Project Manager Summary:

The Project Manager position is more than a job, it’s a lifestyle. In this role, you’ll be both leading and supporting Subcontractors that regularly work evenings and weekends. For someone to flourish in this role, they need to fully embrace handling responsibility that extends beyond M-F & 8-5. Sometimes this will be after hours phone calls or text messages and other times it will be visiting the jobsite. Additionally, if you’re married or have a family, they will need to support you in this type of role. You’ll be responsible for achieving construction goals such as: schedule adherence, quality standards, trade partner relations, customer satisfaction and jobsite safety. You’ll also play a key role in developing a positive work environment both internally and with our extended network of Trade Partners.

Core Responsibilities:

Effective Communication

  • Understand communication principles and use the best form of communication for each situation: in-person, phone call, text message, email
  • Be able to hold trades and suppliers accountable for achieving quality and schedule goals while building positive relationships
  • Communicate early & often so expectations are clear, and deadlines can be met
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor and all other Addison Homes team members to help build a cohesive and strong team environment

Build High Quality Homes

  • Inspect workmanship daily and give feedback to improve results or make corrections
  • Ensure homes are built according to the plans, specifications & local building codes
  • When facing new challenges, make decisions that achieve the goal without sacrificing quality

Build Homes on Schedule

  • Combine communication skills and construction knowledge to meet deadlines
  • Meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Be prepared and organized
  • Maintain a weekly and daily task schedule for each job and proactively work to avoid delays

Requirements

  • Home building experience
  • Ability to work directly with Customers during construction and during the warranty period
  • Ability to perform general construction duties such as: painting, woodwork, cleaning, etc…
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Provide your own power tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word as well as internet-based applications
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a big plus and preferred
  • Have and maintain a safe driving record
  • Special events will require additional work hours on an as needed basis
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, stoop for extended periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift & carry up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to safely climb ladders, scaffolding and other means to reach and observe all areas building
  • Keep your company vehicle clean and in good repair
  • Primarily Monday thru Friday with some weekend time required to maintain job awareness

Salary and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000
