Duties for Behavioral Health Technician Include:
Maintains patient safety at all times.
Orient patients to program and phases of treatment.
Prepare and deliver lectures and in-services as requested within the scope of knowledge and training.
Witness search process w/Nurse
Conduct rounds as ordered/assigned
Orient to unit (room, meals, med pass, programming, etc.)
Maintain security of Key Cards
Provide locker access at designated times
Supervise snacks
Escort patients to smoke breaks as designated (exceptions will need to be supervised)
Escort to meals
Monitor med pass line
Gathering patients for appointments
AMA blocking (chart)
Notify oversight of any issues or AMA
Gathering patients for transfers (ensure luggage is packed)
Obtain UDS as needed
Complete CSSR-S as needed
Stock lounge as assigned
Monitor supply quantity
De-escalation
Upon discharging/AMA return locker items and valuables
Chart by exception (critical events)
Vitals as ordered
