Summary of Role
We have a current opportunity for a Lead Contracts Administrator to join our team onsite at our facility in Chantilly, VA office. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for a range of contractual administration tasks to implement and monitor contract agreements, analyze contract performance, report on contract commitments, support a variety of project related reviews, reduce/mitigate risk to support the program execution and business units profit objectives. Remote candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Remote candidates would be expected to periodically travel to Redwire facilities to support the needs of the business.
The Contract Administrator is responsible for reviewing and analyzing solicitations, supports the preparation of major proposal documentation and compliance checklist. Provides Project Managers assistance in interpreting contract terms and conditions. Compose contract correspondence and responds to questions from customer. Supports the development of the negotiation strategy and negotiates various less complex contract actions with program/contract management guidance. Provides daily administration of assigned contract portfolio which will include Contracts, Subcontracts, Change Order management and internal work orders. Singly responsible for the data entry and contract tracking, modification document control, contract correspondence, coordination with program management. Preparing contractual data for internal and external audits.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the as the internal primary point of contact for assigned programs and the secondary point of contact for the customer on all assigned contractual matters
  • Provide coordination with other departments in the preparation of responses to customer correspondence and other requests
  • Maintain close, professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist in the review of RFP requirements for contract risk
  • Help review all assigned bids, proposals, and contracts, including changes, modifications and amendments prior to negotiation and execution
  • Assist in negotiations with the customer’s representatives, providing information in accordance with established guidelines regarding the status of negotiations
  • Responsible for posting and processing all contract documents, data, deliverables, funding, etc. and processing in the contracts management tool
  • Administer the preparation and delivery of customer required data and reports in compliance with contractual requirements, monitoring the status of day-to-day deliverables and preparing all contractual documents.
  • Prepare RFP packages and negotiate subcontractor terms and conditions to support Redwire's prime contract obligations.
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline (or an equivalent of 10 years of experience without a degree)
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience
  • Experience compiling, reviewing, editing, organizing, tracking/storing contract documents or similar
  • Experience communicating with external customers
  • Experience interfacing with all levels and disciplines within the organization including leadership
  • Prior experience in a deadline driven environment in order to meet scheduled deliverables
  • Strong experience with MS office suite and/or data management tools
  • Experience working with and interpreting large amounts of data
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Some travel will be required
