Adams & Martin Group is currently seeking a skilled and motivated patent prosecution associate to support a growing patent practice in the metro area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent law a with experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with leading inventors and innovators, and contribute to the success of our clients in protecting their intellectual property rights.

Responsibilities :
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technical fields, including software, electronics, biotechnology, and mechanical engineering
- Conduct prior art searches and analyze patentability and freedom-to-operate issues
- Collaborate with inventors, technical experts, and clients to develop and implement patent prosecution strategies
- Communicate with patent examiners to address office actions and secure the issuance of patents
- Assist with patent portfolio management, including patent maintenance, enforcement, and licensing
- Stay current on developments in patent law and technology trends relevant to our clients' industries
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, biology) preferred
- 2 years of experience practicing patent law, with a focus on patent prosecution
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
